About
My name is Darren Miller and since 2002 I’ve used psychometrics to help market participants overcome their weaknesses and exploit their strengths to master the markets. I have a background in psychology and counseling, and a passion for helping others succeed.
Back in 2002 I was fresh out of graduate school and was sought out to provide a workshop on the psychology of trading for a large financial education company. I took the opportunity to teach on a subject that I felt I had a lot to offer and ended up learning a great deal about the markets. Ever since then I’ve been hooked and over the years I’ve helped fellow traders overcome their weaknesses and learn to exploit their strengths to succeed in the market. The result is a system that allows you to create your own Market Awareness Profile (MAP) to successfully navigate the markets.
I studied psychology and counseling at Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas where I earned my Bachelors and Masters Degrees. I furthered my studies by attending Kent State University in Kent, Ohio where I received my Ph.D. While in graduate school I found myself focused on the psychology of use. In other words, I would help others by focusing on what they were doing with what they had. For example, as a market participant ask yourself these questions:
- Where are you now? (Trading but losing money, making some progress but not enough to make a living, pick the wrong side of the trade nearly every time, etc.).
- Where is it you want to be? (I want to be independently wealthy; I want to make $1,000.00 a day, I would like to know which market to trade, etc.).
- What are you doing to get there? (Trading a certain strategy, focusing on a certain sector, reading/researching, etc.).
By answering questions like these, and through the use of psychometrics, you are better equipped to understand yourself and your trading style. With this knowledge you can determine what works well for you with regards to the markets. The markets are not as easy to make a living in as some would have you believe, but if you have the moxie it’s a great place to compete. I appreciate you stopping by and wish you the best in whatever it is you do. If I can answer any questions you have please feel free to contact me.
